These deals are administered from a third party, known as a poker room affiliate. When rakeback deals occur, the poker room receives less of a rake from players, hence many poker rooms do not allow their affiliates to offer rakeback deals.
Rakeback is not openly advertised or supported by poker rooms. As a result, poker rooms do their best to hide the fact that you can get rake back from them which leaves the vast majority of players unaware there is such a thing as rakeback. Typical rakeback rebates are around 27% - 30% - but can be as high as 50%.
The amount of poker rakeback players can earn on a monthly basis really adds up quickly and can be a nice shot in the arm, especially after a few losing sessions.
